Sure I'll buy them someday, but I can wait. Some of the magic the first series had is missing. So much gives me a seen this exact same sequence before: Gandalf yelling, "RUN!" and everyone trotting off every few minutes; fight in the goblin lair vs. Moir battle; moth getting the great eagles; etc.

Much better than I thought it'd be. Really enjoyed it, even though the story was just derivative cliches, they managed to put it all together in very well. 4/5

The latest and greatest:


(Battle in Outer Space)

It's everything you'd want from 1950s sci-fi.



Finished everything in this sucker. A River Called Titas looks great, but is a bit of a bore imo. Dry Summer has its moments. The Housemaid starts off pretty slowly, but the last hour is great. Touki-Bouki has some pretty gnarly animal sacrifice scenes that are hard to watch, and then it gets pretty screwy with the story, but I still liked it.



The manga for this is my all-time favorite. I have to admit that the first film in the new series is pretty weak. The second one is better. Third is best, and really freaking awesome. Can't wait to see more.



Watched the extended edition; a few amusing additions, and the plot runs smoothly, but I don't think it's a total necessity, especially since the stills, color fading, and Asian subtitles can be distracting. As for the movie, it's never been a big laugh-out-loud comedy for me personally, but it is a fun watch.
