Looks cool. If it's open world and giant monsters, it reminds me of R.A.D. and Earth Defense Force on PS2 and PS4 for EDF.

That's too bad the PSN store won't even let you buy it digitally with a regular account. I guess it can be imported to some areas, All region games.

Thumbs up

It really does look pretty frikkin sweet. Had me at Ultraman but throw in Evangelion and I'm sold. Don't read a lick of Japanese, but that's never stopped me from importing all of the PS3 Gundam games. lol

Will have to get it when I inevitably cave in and get the newest Kamen Rider Battride War.

Maybe. Probably even. Seems it's up to devs if the game will be region locked, but so far most (if not all) games have remained unlocked thankfully. Of course even "worse case scenario" it's relatively easy enough to create a free Japanese PSN account and buy it from the store. Pretty sure you need a VPN for PC but don't think so () through the console's store.

City Shrouded In Shadow/Kyoei Toshi is only $73 through PlayAsia ($60-68ish NA Amazon Marketplace) - really not bad for a high quality import. Think I spent around that much for Kamen Rider Battride War 2 (TV Premium Edition) on the PS3 a few years back. Worth every cent. #noregrets

Anyways, thanks for bringing this game to my attention.
Cannot wait to check it out first hand.

I'm a huge Kaiju fan. Would have bought this in a heartbeat.

Really I'm just glad we got the Godzilla game.

It looks like fun, yes. Lots of Japan RPGs, but why aren't there more unique import games being ported to US gamers this generation? I remember on the PS2 we had a quite a few very unique Japanese Games translated to English. R.A.D being a favorite, and then another one I bought where you had to escape a broken down city taken over by a giant Tidal Wave that wiped everything out. Brings back some good memories and those types of games are rarities, as this one seems to be as well for PS4.

A shade pricey, but the PS4 is region free:

Thanks. 72.99 is a bit much, agreed.

The game looks cool, though the framerate is slower. This game would be awesome in PSVR.

Only thing is, I can't read the menus so figuring stuff out without English subtitles would take getting used to.

From the look of it, it's not an open world game, at least based on the opening levels so far.

Reminds me of Earth Defense Force with the bugs.
