Pass, I don't care for that art at all. I've never been a fan of the digital illustration style.

Edit: well then there's still hope if that's just and artists rendition, but I think they may just mean the photo of the art on the steel. I think the art is the art they'll use though.

Seriously, NATO needs to pass some sort of global legislation that prohibits "possible artwork"!! Only final artwork can be posted during any stage of the steelbook's advance notice/preorder phase!

I am not a double dipper and I like to support the US steels whenever possible so I am probably going with this over the Kimchi one.

The art is from a lithograph made by Ken Taylor, and released by Mondo Posters. He's done a lot of great poster work, and even collaborated with Mondo and Lionsgate to release the Quentin Tarantino boxset, which I believe you own.

Here's his official page if anyone wants to see more of his stuff:

Yeah, I own it, but I don't really care for the art much. I mostly like the uniformity of the disc artwork. I'm weird, I know.

Not to mention, I like collections whenever possible to save space. There's A LOT of blu-rays I own that I absolutely hate the artwork that's used, but I love the movie and want to own it. I'm not going to let bad design and art keep me from owning a film I love. BUT, when a better all around package becomes available, I'll try to "upgrade" whenever possible.

Oh man, I hope its being sold through a retailer. Buying posters from Mondo is like buying off of Kimchi. Even if in cart doesn't mean its there at the end of the checkout process!

I hear ya. He's definitely not my favorite of the new school of poster artists out there. I can see why some may not like it, but I like the Drive litho for the color scheme throughout (using pink as shwodws and lighting is kind of neat), and because it just looks a little different from the other Drive artwork out there.

That's what I've always heard and read when looking in the posters forum on this site. It's like a minute and gone.

Yeah, and with what I said, as an artist and graphic designer myself, I have tons of respect for anyone that creates original designs, layouts and illustrations, regardless if it's a style I find attractive or not. It takes a lot of motivation and courage to put yourself out there and take (constructive?) criticism along with the accolades.

You're sounding like some certain whiny-babies on the forum. You need to cut that crap out
