Lord of the Rings Extended Edition: recall expected

Amazon recently informed its customers that Warner is investigating complaints concerning pitch (and, according to other sources, sync) issues with the German language tracks on the extended Blu-ray editions. It is possible that the set will not go on sale on July 1st as originally planned. Amazon had started shipping the set early.

As complete customer satisfaction is very important to us, we are currently investigating the possible reasons for these complaints.

If a problem with the quality of the German audio track should be confirmed we will attempt to fix the flaw as soon as possible and will advise you as to when replacement copies will be available.

In addition, we would offer customers who are unhappy with the audio quality [of the movies] a chance to replace the affected Blu-ray discs. We will keep you updated as soon as we know more.
