Ackley Bridge (Channel 4)

A new series of drama/comedy series Ackley Bridge starts next Tuesday night on Channel 4 (a third series). This third series is going to have a shorter run compared to the second series.

Read recently on Geektown that Ackley Bridge will be back for a fourth series next year, but the format will be changing, from hour long to half hour episodes.

Following on from the above quoted post, the fourth series of Ackley Bridge starts on Channel Four next Monday evening (moving to an earlier timeslot, and a half-hour timeslot). There will be ten episodes in this new series, running next week from Monday to Friday (and likely the same the following week).

All ten episodes of the fourth series will be available on On Demand after the first episode has aired.

I didn't know that a fifth series of drama series Ackley Bridge was in the works, but during the second part of true crime documentary series Murder in the Alps tonight, there was a promo for a new series of Ackley Bridge (it just said "Coming Soon").

Update: Series 5 starts on Channel Four a week today (double bills, starting from Monday 11th July at 10 pm - 11 pm).
