Really excited for this, and also really excited that it's coming out so soon. It's great that we're getting TWO seasons of Korra on Blu-ray in one year

And here it is.

I'm guess there's only gonna be crew commentaries for the remainder of the series. I don't mind that, I presume this is a thing only due to scheduling convenience.

I started watching season 3 online but I think I'm just going to wait it out until this drops on blu and then finish the season. Day 1 buy for sure but I'm not feeling that preorder price, I think book 2 was $19.99 at Best Buy on day 1 so hopefully they do the same for book 3 if Amazon doesn't drop the preorder price.

Does it include ALL the episodes? (Including the ones that didn't air on TV)

Why wouldn't it? Yes, they all come in the BD. But, you can watch them all right now on the shows website.

I saw on the TVShowsonDVD site that the Blu ray was gonna be in 1080i again! Why on Earth are they doing this?! 1080p please. And you know what's really annoying? On the season 2 Blu's, the episodes are in 1080i, but the extras are 1080p. When they show an unfinished bending animatic in the special features section, they show the same scene in it's full animation afterwards, and those scenes ARE in 1080P! So annoying.

Grateful that Nick is still even bothering to release this on Blu when so many other studios would just dump this on DVD, but I wish they would just go all the way with it like they did for season1.

WHY isn't the show encoded in 1080p??

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have enjoyed book 2 any other way (it was my first time seeing it when watching on Blu-Ray) but why go a step backwards from what was already great in Book 1?? And to hear that Book 3 will remain 1080i is a big disappointment.

I STRONGLY URGE you guys comment/post your concerns on the following links and INSIST they encode the video in PROGRESSIVE. I already started on one but it could be as simple as "Please have Legend of Korra Blu-Ray in 1080p, not 1080i." It's the quantity of those simple short tweets / comments that will hopefully attract their attention.
Korra deserves the best video presentation on a medium that best allows that.

Tweet at:
@NickelodeonDVD < - this account follows me back and from time to time, I'd make suggestions on future releases. While there's no guarantee but they'd always tell me they'd forward it to the appropriate department. So tweet away at this account with the hashtag #LegendofKorra

Facebook comment at:

Facebook.com/LegendOfKorra
Facebook.com/MichaelDanteDiMartino < - Writer of the show.

You can also comment while tagging both of these the two at the same time by "@MichaelDanteDiMartino" but just to be safe, comment separately on both pages tagging each other!

Edit: I also want to e-mail the customer service of the video distributor. That would be Paramount or Nick at this case?

I think Paramount are the distributors in USA and Canada.

@ I-C-Blue

I already did my part when informing the Facebook page about the Book 2 conundrum. As a result, Nick isn't gonna lie about the video resolution on the next set. That's not an improvement, I must say.

I agree that the 1080i is a disappointment, but given how they treated the show recently, I'm just happy to get it on Blu at all.

Now back to me rubbing that lamp and wishing for the complete series of Avatar on Blu. Even if they did a "made when ordered bare bones" release, I'd be happy.

1080i again? Ugh. Well regardless, this will be either a near day one purchase for me or on my Christmas wishlist. I am looking forward to the commentaries and featurettes.

Ain't the traditional water tribe gowns she wore at parties and ceremonies considered 'girl clothes'? What does that make Katara when she wear those every day?

There was a Nicktoons promo surfacing that Book 3 will be back on TV in September 15th, including the unaired episodes. And judgin' by a couple of clips that were clearly made for Book 4, we may be in for a little surprise in the near future.

Some of you probably don't have the Nicktoons channel, or even live in the country that has Nicktoons, but it has to be fine news for someone. Especially those who had a tough time watching the episodes online.

In related news, book four is titled Balance. Boy, Nick really wants to get rid of this show. Kind of crazy how soon we're getting this.
