![]() ![]() Synopsis: JOSH HOLLOWAY, MEGHAN ORY AND MARG HELGENBERGER STAR IN A SPECIAL SERIES PREMIERE OF THE NEW ACTION THRILLER "INTELLIGENCE," TUESDAY, JAN. 7 Moves to its Regular Monday Time Period on Jan. 13 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) "Pilot" - Gabriel and Riley must rescue the kidnapped member of CyberCom who invented the chip implanted in Gabriel's brain before the top-secret technology falls into the wrong hands. Meanwhile, Gabriel takes advantage of his chip to search for his wife who disappeared years ago, on the special series premiere of INTELLIGENCE, Tuesday, Jan. 7 (9:00-10:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. It will move to its regular Monday (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) time period on Jan. 13. INTELLIGENCE is an action thriller starring Josh Holloway as a high-tech intelligence operative enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain. With this implant, Gabriel is the first human ever to be connected directly into the global information grid and have complete access to Internet, WiFi, telephone and satellite data. He can hack into any data center and access key intel in the fight to protect the United States from its enemies. Leading the elite government cyber-security agency created to support him is Director Lillian Strand, a straightforward and efficient boss who oversees the unit's missions. Strand assigns Riley Neal, a Secret Service agent, to protect Gabriel from outside threats, as well as from his appetite for reckless, unpredictable behavior and disregard for protocol. Also on the team is Chris Jameson, a resourceful federal investigator. The brains behind the design of the chip is Dr. Shenendoah Cassidy, whose son, Nelson, is jealous of Gabriel's prominent place in his father's life. As the first supercomputer with a beating heart, Gabriel is the most valuable piece of technology the country has ever created and is the U.S.'s secret weapon. SERIES REGULARS: Josh Holloway (Gabriel) Meghan Ory (Riley Neal) John Billingsley (Dr. Shenendoah Cassidy) PJ Byrne (Nelson Cassidy) Michael Rady (Chris Jameson) James Martinez (Gonzalo 'Gonzo' Rodriguez) AND: Marg Helgenberger (Lillian Strand) GUEST CAST: Elden Henson (Amos Pembroke) Will Yun Lee (Jin Cong) Rosalind Chao (Sheng-Li Wang) Grace Huang (Mei Chen) Jagua Arneja (Jeep Driver) Michael Benyaer (Badri Adani) Peter Bryant (DNI Carl Russell) Simon Chin (Huang Fu) Henry J. Mah (Anesthesiologist) Mesha Toor (Female Officer) TELEPLAY AND TELEVISION STORY BY: Michael Seitzman DIRECTED BY: David Semel Searched for Intelligence and nothing showed up, so I'm going ahead and starting this thread. This premieres tonight after NCIS. It moves to Mondays at 10pm starting next week. I'm very interested in this. Holloway as sort of an edgier "Chuck" type character should be fun. Just want to make sure you are all clear, this is an action procedural and not a serial drama. |

The show should get some eyes on it tonight with NCIS as the lead in. |

This show is produced by ABC and licensed out to CBS.
Mondays at 10pm are going to challenging for this show. Competing against The Blacklist, which is the breakout hit of the season and Castle. Somebody's ratings will drop come Monday. |

Why do they always have to do this to new series, put it on a timeslot it can win the demo if not the whole timeslot. Last edited by jokerzwild; 01-08-2014 at 04:26 AM. |

It was okay. I'd give it a C+
Holloway, Marg and Meghan were decent and there was some decent action. However, I wish they would have done a better job setting everything up. I felt like this was more of an episode 3 or 4 instead of a Pilot. I would have like to have seen more on why Gabriel is so special that he was chosen to be this super spy/super agent. Yes, I know Marg's character referenced his military background. It has potential based on the talented cast, but they have to write better scripts if they want this show to stand out more and not be relegated as just another CBS procedural. |

Meghan Ory is beautiful, but doesn't help the show at all. Just another pretty face which will lead to some forced sexual tension between her character and Gabriel. How about some more Helgenberger? I thought she was very good.
One thing that's going to bother me: whenever they are stuck, Gabriel's brain will be able to see or do something that will lead them to the bad guys. Why? Because its easy. No explanation or logic needed. It happened on Chuck too, but that show was so campy and tongue in cheek, they got away with it. This show is trying to be smarter, but they expect us to be dumber ![]() Quote:

Never. There is not enough viewers on Mondays at 10pm. The live ratings will almost certainly go down in total viewers. No way it retains these numbers. More than half the population who uses Nielsen will have to DVR one or two of the 3 shows.
