Default Christie 6P Laser Projectors Any Good?

One is opening in my area. Are they any good, say, compared to IMAX?

Read about them but never tried, so wondering which is best to watch Star Wars.

Laser projectors have wonderful contrast, black levels, and fine detail. I would not hesitate to see a film projected with one.

In theory, yes they are good. But you are comparing it to IMAX which is interesting. If set up well, then it could be superior. However, I put more emphasis on how close I am to the screen and how the rear speakers are set up, I personally like the IMAX rear set up as I even set up my rear speakers that way. I also am impressed with dual projection IMAX. I would go to a dual IMAX Xenon in a classic IMAX venue over any laser projection with Dolby Atmos audio.

I am lucky enough to live close to worlds first laser IMAX location as well BTW.
