Default Transformers 2007

I decided to watch the Blu after watching the 4th one, like why couldn't the next 3 Transformers movies be like this one. it had heart, the plot wasn't that dumb, the humor worked.

The first is the best. Just saw the fourth I left kind of disappointed still liked it but it was average. Wish they had just stopped at three.

I still need to see Extinction, but the second two films felt like Bay lost whatever filter he had in the first one.

But at least 3D forced Bay to hold the camera still and not cut every 1.5 seconds.

Yeah part 1 was so much better than 2 and 3.

I can't agree at all. I still think the 2007 Transformers is by far Bay's worst movie of his career. There is so much wrong with that movie, and easily the most dull.

I really love part 1.... it's easily his best one of the series. he got so far up his own ass in the sequels that it's painful to watch

Will always love the first one. So awesome... the magic died in the sequels.

1 > 4 > 3 > 2.

The first is the least terrible installment.

That's the best way to put it. To me the first film earn a point because it felt a bit fresh.

Transformers - 3/5
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 1.5/5
Transformers: Dark of the Moon - 2/5 (both the ending of The Avengers and Man of Steel reminds me of it so that's something)
Transformers: Age of Extinction - 1/5

The sequels are getting repetitive. To prove that I know not to expect Oscar worthy stuffs but enjoy popcorn fun blockbusters from Michael Bay:

Bad Boys - 3.5/5
Bad Boys II - 4.5/5
The Rock - 4/5
The Island - 3.5/5
Pearl Harbor - 3/5

I really enjoy watching the first film, though it does have its flaws i.e. not enough focus on the Transformers themselves (Optimus and co show up quite late in the film), "that" scene at Sam Whitwicky's house, Megatron and Starscream's designs aaaaand Cybertron not looking like how it should.

What I loved was:

Only 4 is any good. The first three are all varying degrees of shit.

I actually liked the second more than the first. That whole hiding behind the house bugged me.

Dunno about that, but it did have better action scenes. The forest fight and desert battle.
