Default No DD-THD on Terminator 3

I just saw the back cover of T3 on Blu-Ray and it doesn't list Dolby THD. Here is the cover:

Sucks that this title won't be having lossless audio. I guess I won't be buying T3 on BD

That is why I am not buying it too. No Lossless = no sale. Warner seems to be recycling the HD DUD effort.

Ugh, sigh. From what I hear of the first two on blu, they are in the same boat.

How many times has this movie been released and released? Terminator 2 is still one of my favorite movies. I want the HD trilogy, but if history is going to repeat itself, I might just wait for the better re-release on blu-ray.

They suck for doing that to us. The PQ better be mind blowing.

T3 has only been released once, it's ported across formats.

If I had to guess, they didn't want to screw the HD side (neutral and all) and needed the space for their second PiP encode.

Is this in fact a Warner release? The "Warner Effect" strikes again.

Gonna be hard to boycott this one. But now they are cheesing me off.

Unfortunately thats how Warner is treating some of their great titles. I can't believe they didn't put D-THD on T3 but could put on all the new Kubrick's? What gives Warner?

Warner needs to learn that the BD market is not the HD DVD market.

Fox, Sony and Disney all do 100% lossless audio on their releases.

Lossless audio is an expected feature on BDs. We don't give a crap about PiP and web - give us the best movie presentation and then worry about the extras that we aren't going to watch...! sigh!

This is certainly ridiculous.

They better not pull this shit when they release others on BR like Heat, Batman Begins, Matrix Trilogy, etc.

I figured with how great their Troy release was that they wouldn't release any more crap versions like this. Especially considering how much sound there is in this movie, dramas and comedies aren't so much of a big deal but movies with all sorts of explosions and such MUST have the lossless audio.

IMO it isn't neutrality to use one format to the best of its capabilities but not the other. They say they want the consumer to choose which format they prefer, but to allow the consumer to do that they need to release discs that make best use of each format.

And don't let anyone tell you that you need to buy releases like this to woo Warner. Buy the Warner titles that they do right and leave this crap on the shelf. They already know that we will buy when they don't put out a half-assed effort > 300

I think it's because of the additional video that they put onto the disc for the "PiP", since it isn't a 1.1 profile video... though I am not sure if they couldn't fit it anyways if this was a BD50?

Definitely not getting this without HD audio, I could care less about IME.

This is a big surprise and definitely removes this title from my queue.

I had been led to believe this was to have both PCM and TrueHD on it.
