Currently, I use my PC's blu-ray drive to rip all of my blu-ray movies onto my Dune Base 3, and so I don't have to worry about region coding. I have tons of Region A, since I live in Canada, and a few Region B, from overseas. I also have a PS3 for my movies, but it is locked to Region A.
I would like to, one day, play my Region B movies from the disc, in case my Dune Base 3 player dies and there isn't a hard-drive based player like the Dune to use, so I've been looking into Region Free players. So..is it wise to buy a region free player now, or wait until Region Free 4K players are available (assuming region encoding is being used for 4K movies) |
