Thanks for passing this along! I see they released a "Bruce lee clone" last year. Any ideas how to get a copy of that one?

The clones of Bruce lee is long gone. I emailed the Spanish guys and was told no more copies were available. Thanks Todd for the heads up about this one.

Supposedly they want to do a blu of Fist of Fury Part II and Last Strike (aka Soul Brothers of Kung Fu), both starring Ho "Bruce Li" Chung-tao. I'd be all over both of those Of course, in the case of the latter, one can only wonder which cut of the film it would be.

Are these legit? Spain is notorious for Blu-ray bootlegs.

Also, there's no detail or grain in those screen caps. They look more like upscales. I'd be very wary myself.

I read online that the Clones blu was a BD-r and people were happy with the video quality so I expect the same for Lackey. Only one person complained that the BD-r didnt play on their xbox player.

But where else can you get rare titles like this in HD?

They would need to licence distribution rights from the current owner.

AFAIK, the Seasonal catalogue is still held by Mei Ah (HK).

Unlike many of the low budget independents whose production companies have long since disappeared, these films are subject to legal ownership, and Ng Sze-Yuen himself is still alive!

I appreciate what they are doing, and I can't say that I mind the lines, scratches, etc on the film... I just hope that they do a bit more work to make this look like true HD and do some work on the color timing (as it's a bit heavy on the yellow).

Considering that they produce BD-Rs, I'm surprised they couldn't have just printed one up for you.

I think 200 is the cut off. I admittedly didn't get this (or Clones of Bruce Lee), but once they go into Ho Chung Tao/Bruce Li territory, I'm in. Especially if they're indeed doing Soul Brothers of Kung Fu.
