What are some movies that you've seen do a complete 180 tonal shift? Something Wild, the first act is a lovely romantic manic pixie dreamgirl comedy and when Ray Liotta enters the scene it goes completely dark. The director Jonathan Demme went on to direct Silence of the Lambs and Philadelphia.
