digital downloads SD or HD?

I claimed a bunch DD's recently via iTunes.
I noticed the quality was far from what I see on the blu-ray.

I checked and
The downloaded files are on average about 1.65gig (!?)

itunes lists HD file size as anywhere between 3.5-4.8+ gigs.

I assumed if you bought the HD blurray- the DD included would be HD as well.

I guess I'm late to this news- but just to confirm- all digital downloads included with Blu-ray purchase will be the SD download?

It depends on the title. Most new titles now redeem in HD. The exception is if the DC requires a disc to redeem. If so it is always going to be SD.

You might also want to check your preferences for downloading movies in itunes and ensure that 720p or 1080p is selected.
