Just got word that Warner Bros will FINALLY release this long awaited gem on DVD and Blu later this year. If you have "300", then youve probably seen the trailer for this one. Horror fans have been waiting for this for a long time!

Everything I have seen about this is based on the fact that it was once shown on a list of titles from the by 5 get 1 free thing from Warner. Mysteriously, that list has disappeared and has been replaced by only three titles which are either currently available or will be soon. Not holding my breath for this. Didn't I read somewhere before that WB had dropped the film and the makers were currently looking for a new distributor?

i have been waiting on this for a while now.....why did it never make it to the theaters?? Regardless though i am glad to see that it will be on blu.

This is a great title. Critics and fans alike have given this high marks, but WB like Lionsgate did to Midnight Meat Train decided to give this title limited movie release at a couple of private screenings. This movie will suprise you. Not sure if the price point will be decent being that it got no support financially in the theaters. It might not even hit a price reduction or sale on week 1.

This is an EXCELLENT movie.
I've been fortunate enough to see it twice.
It is by far one of the best horror anthology films ever made.
There are some things that studios weren't on board with that prevented this from getting a theatrical release. The reasons are idiotic, but I don't want to give anything away for those that haven't seen it.
Mike Dougherty has made one excellent film that will be a Halloween classic for years.

Wanted to see this after reading about it in Fangoria and seeing the trailer on 300 blu-ray. Doesn't this have Anna Paquan in it? Will buy this I need more horror on blu.

Yep, Anna Paquin is great in this. And there are some great old school practical effects in it as well.
You should enjoy it.

I too had heard that Warner Bros had dropped the film and it was going to find another distributor. I guess this means WB wanted to keep their hands on it. I cant understand why they shelved this for so long. I cant even find a torrent to download it.

They dropped it to one of there smaller studios kind of, but still kept it in the family per say, but I think that when all the complaining started to pick up about it being shelved they put it back on there books.
The Box(Cameron Diaz) is going through the same treatment right now.
