[Show spoiler] Personally, I hope this fails horribly. I can't see having this in my collection, especially since you can't even see the title when it's sideways. I think Scanavo should stick to making/improving SteelBooks and leave this kind of junk alone. |

Right... more like a display of what you are currently watching. But nothing that I would want to permanently store them in.

They should have definitely made it so the spine showed the title. It looks kind of cool and futuristic though, but I don't see it becoming big like Steelbooks have. I would like to see what some studios do with it as well. We could see some cool color "frames" combined with a nice lenticular image.

FAIL
This is going to be so easy to boycott. I think they're trying to fool us into liking this next generation "collectable" format, so that they can transition from steelbook to this. I mean it's cheaper to make right? ![]() What are we toddlers playing with plastic and swapping picture around to fit the frame. This is like a baby's toy. And who came up with 'fr4me packaging'? The idea behind this completely defeats the purpose of being a major collector. Without the title on the spine, it is evident that these are meant to be stored and displayed in the same manner as a picture frame would. Now, who has enough space in their house to display hundreds of picture frames? And, if not displaying as picture frames, who has the patience to weed through a hundred of these unmarked cases to find the title they are looking for? And worse, who has the want to have these strange randomly bright coloured strips of nothing in the shelves looking like some kind of dividers when they are anything but. If putting all of tgem together, the varying colours of the cases will look atrocious bunched together.
That being said, it really does look awesome with Oblivion. It reflects the production design perfectly. I still won't buy one for it though. ![]() |

Maybe they can create a carousel for these things so you can rotate them like a rolodex. That's going to take up a lot of space.
![]() The only way I would let this slide, is if it's for children's movies only. At least the kids can play with the case and customise it. |
