Never heard of this one before I came across it in SC's announcement alongside Hue and Cry. Seems like a promising and overlooked British crime film. Will gain obvious connections with Get Carter due to filming location, but needless to say I'm looking forward to watching. Has anyone seen this one? Thoughts?

Shot in my fair city; Newcastle Upon Tyne (though you'd hardly recognise it). Saw it years ago, features a very young Tom Bell.

It's a fairly routine heist thriller with a degree of the kitchen-sink drama aspect which was de rigueur at the time.

It's canny, as they'd say up wor' way ;-)

Being a Geordie too I am looking forward to seeing this on Blu. The DVD looked quite good if I remember rightly. But don't think there will be any extras.

Seems to be a very nice transfer. My screen shots aren't the best but, it give you an idea of what to expect

Decided recently to get the title Payroll on Blu-ray, and I was very impressed by the transfer when I tested the disc out. My decision to get this title was partly based on the screenshots posted above in this thread.
