Hopefully with this no doubt being a conversion, they crank up the 3D more than last time (which was mostly filmed 3D but underutilized).

Looks completely awful but i'll buy it. I hate the visual scheme of these movies, just so drab and uninteresting.

Please please please have good 3D, Awakening was very weak.

I remember in the commentary the director/producer Len Wiseman (now divorcing from Kate/Selene), mentioned he was going for an almost black and white look for the movies, deciding to tinge everything with a blue color filter and wasn't a fan of yellow for some reason.

I'm relieved Selene still seems to be the main character here. I wonder how they'll explain her bleached hair style.

Rather than replace Scott Speedman's character with a new actor, they probably could have just written him out of the series, but no big deal really since the character hasn't had much impact in the last two movies. Only in 1 and 2.

Kate Beckinsale will need for Underworld to be a hit after her movie, Disappointments Room didn't do very well over the weekend.

I think the title of the film has a lot to do with whether or not people want to see it or not. That should've been retitled.

That does sound familiar. Thanks for the reminder. He is definitely more of a sidekick type of character in the Underworld series, since Selene is the lead hero. He did play a bigger role at the end of part 1 though.

I enjoyed Awakening on a very superficial level although not half as much as the first two. Still, it beats the h*** out of Rise of the Lycans where Kate Beckinsale is replaced with her blow-up doll version.

Blood Wars looks like its picking up where Awakening left off and making that storyline better. I doubt the new characters can match the appeal of original's, especially the male protagonist, but I like the trailer's energy nonetheless.
