Since Viva Metal Cases are history, I'm glad somebody is coming out with a steelbook for this movie. I hope they use the same art as they did for the Futureshop DVD steelbook many years ago. I think that would match with my Lion King pretty nicely.

I can't find the image on the net though, I think it came out around the same time as The Little Mermaid and The Jungle Book.

Possibly. I'm sure they will start offering steelbooks for the more popular new releases like the upcoming Little Mermaid for sure. As for the older ones, I guess we'll see. The nice thing about the Disney releases is that they also always offer a really nice slipcover. The slips for Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, etc are fantastic quality and worthy of collector status.

No they don't need to hurry. If the steelbook was coming on April 15th, we'd have known about it long ago. They'll get thousands of peoe to buy a BD of it in 7 days. Then they'll get thousands more to double-dip in a couple of months times with the steelbook. Because many will not even know about this steelbook until after April 15th.
