Default Samsung BD-E5400 - Bluray Player / Media streamer..or toilet???

This is the 1st Bluray player I've ever owned, and it totally sucks!
Extremely slow loading...
Remote works when it wants to...
Streaming Netflix, I won't even start on that ...

So short and sweet, I NEED A NEW BLURAY PLAYER THAT STREAMS VIDEOS THAT WONT BREAK THE BANK! Doesn't have to be new, I'm down for buying used, I just want one with good history...

I love my Sony BDP-S3100. They have a lower end (I don't recommend) and a few higher end ones in the series that have 3D capabilities. I paid $100 for my S3100 and it's amazing. MLB.TV, Netflix, Slacker, Pandora, and Amazon are what I've used streaming wise and have never had a problem. Highly recommend.

I hear you Billy. I have the BD-D5700 that I moved upstairs when my Vizio broke and I'm constantly unplugging it to get it to work correctly. I'm definitely considering that Sony Eradik recommended. That or a LG to match my FP downstairs.

Yes, I was giving you a sympathetic nod. I'm a Samsung owner too and understand your frustrations all too well

I've had so many Samsung products before too...oh well, might just replace it n use it in my room strictly for movies. (I use a Logitech revue in there for streaming)

Just wanted to say retired the sammy bd-e5400 to the bedroom as the streaming features went ka-put. player still works great, so may as well keep it around ehh.
Picked up a new sony bdp-s3100 for a steal, works great, a lot faster loading and streaming is effortless now

That's actually the one I'm considering too Billy. Where did you pick up your Sony? I saw it yesterday at Wal Mart for like $100 and was thinking I'll replace the upstairs BD player with the Sony on payday.

That's where I got it I think it was $88 + uncle Sam's cut
I really like it too. I used it all weekend, tried the myriad of apps it has to offer, and it was so quick. Didn't hesitate to respond to any commands by remote on any of them. Its pretty cool lookin too but unfortunately mine hides in a cabinet. Loading was very fast as well
I have nothing but good things to say about this unit. Viva La Sony!!!!
(The Sammy is doin its work Bluray functions ONLY in the bedroom.)

I have this Blu-ray player as well. I have gotten great use out of it but yes it has problems.

The remote is very temperamental. I am not sure if it is because the battery juice is getting low (same batteries since I got it for Christmas '12) or it is just faulty.
And yes, the Netflix streaming typically leaves much to be desired.

All in all, I wish I had a better Blu-ray player but I still enjoy the player and it is more than serviceable for Blu-ray and DVD viewing. After all, I can watch Netflix on my Wii U, Kindle Fire HD, etc.
