Hey, Snap! How is it compared to Rocketship XM or When Worlds Collide? (Obviously, it cannot compare to Forbidden Planet or The Day the Earth Stood Still.)

Oh man....Rocketship XM........I havent seen that in so long I cant remember it.
I got When Worlds Collide not too long ago and it's a good movie......a little slow in spots but the premise is good. One body destroys the earth and the other planetary object takes the Earth's place in the SS and a rocket is built that will take a limited # of people there, less people in fact, that are working on the rocket project. The people picked to survive are picked by a lottery and the drama is in the fact that you know there is gonna be a revolt by the people who didnt get picked. I wont tell you the ending but of, course there's the requisite love story/triangle. Excellent film....in color.

20 Million is a good old "monster" movie about an alien creature that arrives from Venus. It threatens Rome. It's a good story but the Ray Harryhausen(Clash of the Titans, Golden Voyage of Sinbad) special effects are the backbone of the movie. It's B&W(1.85:1 AR & 5.1) and I highly recommend it.

Hopefully more of the Harryhausen movies will come to BluRay.

20 Million Miles to Earth is colorized. I think you have the option to see it in B&W, but it is in computerized color.

I'm sure it's done the same way as the SD DVD version released a couple of months ago, where you have a choice of original B&W or colorized. Harryhausen, himself, approved the colorization.

It's phenomenal on upscaled SD DVD and I can't wait for the BD
