Where is Sin Nombre? - Blu-ray Forum

I rented the DVD and really liked it, but I don't want to buy the DVD for 20 bucks if there is a blu ray on the way.

Sin Nombre is an excellent movie, and I highly recommend watching it if you haven't already.

Anyone have any news on its Blu Ray release?

As of right now there is no blu-ray available that will play in our region. I watched the film last week and thought it was excellent. I also thought the dvd was one of the best upscaled dvds I have ever seen--it looked near blu-ray quality. Like you, I am holding off for a domestic blu release, which I bet will be relatively soon since it was a Sundance sensation. There's a blu-ray coming out in the UK in January. No word on whether it will be region locked.

The SD version upscaled quite nicely on my home theater. I was rather surprised.
