I got Shinovi Versus during the golden week sale, thought the game was fun. I might pick up the ps4 version, as for the few days it was streamed it looked good.

The Japan import looks pretty good. The actual animation looks more like 480 than 1080 but combat looks & plays great..

Well Japanese games don't focus on graphics since their games are more niche and wouldn't be able to recover the cost of making the graphics look all pretty and such. So they focus on more important things that actually matter like gameplay, story, music, fun characters that you can enjoy, etc. which is cheaper and draws the crowd they are appealing to.

So it's made in HD, but being a niche game is not exactly going to make people jump out of their seat for amazing looking graphics. But considering all that, I think it looks great in everything about the game including the graphics for a niche game.

I meant the animated cutscenes, not the graphics. My bad & I'm probably being harsh on the 480.. More like 720. Gameplay is rock solid 1080p & the frame rate handles a lot of on-screen enemies with no problem.
