4K restoration of Patrice Chereau's masterpiece, Queen Margot, is set to be released on Blu-ray on August 26th.

(I just wish Criterion had released that, but again it's great news!)

edit: I just saw it's coming from Cohen Media Group.
Is it a good company? I haven't got anything from them.

Although, if it will be identical with the French release, I will prefer the French digibook which won't have that big red C all over the cover.

Cohen are very good. I have been very impressed with every Blu Ray and DVD I have purchased from them.

This final version of the film runs at approximately 159 minutes. It has some color corrections approved by the late director and it is the version of the film he endorsed before he passed away. This is the "Director's Cut" that was introduced at Cannes.

After viewing yesterday of the blu ray in ......... Waouhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Except some scenes(stages) in very low light, the rest it is really of the quite good!

Of dnr or other muck, the image is very detailed but while staying very cinema!
Openly(Frankly) the remasterisation 4k is impressionante!

I really rediscovered this masterpiece which I had not seen for a very long time, sublimate!
