Default Blu ray player making weird noise
So I have a Sony BDP S1100 and lately it has started to make a sort of buzzing/crackling noise when the movie is playing. Sometimes it will happen even in the menu. It sort of sounds like a car engine from far away, if that makes sense.

I've had to shut down the player or take the disc out several times but that only temporarily fixes the issue.

I'll have to go and send it for repairs I guess but from the sounds of it is it a major issue?
