I ordered my Sony Region free S3100 from Bombay Electronics. It has played region B and region 2 discs fine in the past. It also works fine as a region A and region 1 player and Netflix and Amazon Prime work fine. Everything is working fine except region B and region 2 (the only Blu-rays and Dvds that I have right now are region A and B and 1 and 2).
Anyways with this player you turn it off and press 2 to turn it on if you want to play a Blu-ray region 2 disc. I did that and it would not work. I also made sure that quick start mode was set to off. It said if it will will not play a Blu-ray from a different region to press stop 2 times and I did that it that did not work. As for dvd you don't have to press anything to change the region. So I put in a region 2 dvd disc and that did not work. I put in another region 2 dvd disc and that also did not work. Something must really be wrong if it's not even playing region 2 dvd discs. By the way is there any region free Blu-ray player that will just play region A,B and C without having to change the region code? |
