Pop any Sony Blu-Ray into your blu-ray player and type 7669 then hit enter from the main menu. It runs some test pattern screens that you can use to adjust color and brightness.

You need to know how to use the test patterns to make use of them

Ratatouille has a walk-through calibration, use that

Yes you can use your PS3 controller to access the secret test patterns on Sony discs. Hit triangle while playing the BD to get to the menu and then enter the numbers from there.
