The Jimi Hendrix appreciation thread

As a guitar player myself, the thing I love so much about Jimi is that he posessed a very rare gift. He had this incredible ability to walk that line between playing "tight" and playing "loose." He was a guitar virtuoso to be sure, but his playing never sounded clincial or academic. His sound always just poured out of him and had such a primal quality to it.

Some of my favorite recordings from Jimi are his blues playing. This is one of my favorites of all time, "Once I Had A Woman."
