they're like Subway ... only their bread is 10x better. Other than that, I don't see anything special about them.

I order #16 Club Lulu

Speaking of Jimmy John's, the company was recently data breached and I've been watching my checking account closely. Wouldn't be surprised if I get another debit card from my CU in the coming days.

I think they are WAY better than Subway.

Get the Hunter's Club.

Back when I worked mall retail, they used to come by with samples to drum up business. They would always hook us up with several subs worth. It was awesome.

I worked in the same center as one a few months ago. Never really had much interest to try it, but I had a BLT picked up out of the blue for me, and it was the blandest sandwich I have ever had. They have one like $7 sandwich that sounded okay, but I could get a big ol' burrito for the same price.

I can't believe anyone would prefer Subway over JJ's. Subway is so foul most of the time. Soggy bread, tasteless ingredients, and people who can't make a sandwich right half the time even with me standing two feet away giving explicit instructions, just short of sticking my arm up their ass and working them like a puppet.

They don't though.

Regardless, they're both low rent fast food sub shops.

Must be your local store. I don't have a JJ's near me but I've never had an issue at Subway with soggy bread or people not being able to make am sandwich right.

Love Firehouse also. The company originated in Jacksonville and they are running a weekly promo during football season. This week's promo was for the Jags to kick a 40+ yard FG. Participating stores would offer a free sub with purchase of a medium drink and chips. I was going to go, but I heard all the locations here were packed!

Waiting to see what the Jags do this weekend against the Chargers and see what Firehouse has to offer. It's probably get a free Firehouse sub if the Jags lose 40+ points against SD.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I just noticed this on the JJ's website.

https://www.jimmyjohns.com/datasecurityincident/

Quote:
Jimmy John’s Notifies Customers of Payment Card Security Incident

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (September 24, 2014) – On July 30, 2014, Jimmy John’s learned of a possible security incident involving credit and debit card data at some of Jimmy John’s stores and franchised locations. Jimmy John’s immediately hired third party forensic experts to assist with its investigation. While the investigation is ongoing, it appears that customers’ credit and debit card data was compromised after an intruder stole log-in credentials from Jimmy John’s point-of-sale vendor and used these stolen credentials to remotely access the point-of-sale systems at some corporate and franchised locations between June 16, 2014 and September 5, 2014. The security compromise has been contained, and customers can use their credit and debit cards securely at Jimmy John’s stores.

Approximately 216 stores appear to have been affected by this event. Cards impacted by this event appear to be those swiped at the stores, and did not include those cards entered manually or online. The credit and debit card information at issue may include the card number and in some cases the cardholder’s name, verification code, and/or the card’s expiration date. Information entered online, such as customer address, e-mail, and password, remains secure. The locations and dates of exposure for each affected Jimmy John’s location are listed on AFFECTED STORES & DATES.

Jimmy John’s has taken steps to prevent this type of event from occurring in the future, including installing encrypted swipe machines, implementing system enhancements, and reviewing its policies and procedures for its third party vendors.

We apologize for any inconvenience this incident may have on our customers. Jimmy John’s values the privacy and security of its customers’ information, and is offering identity protection services to impacted customers, although Jimmy John’s does not collect its customers’ Social Security numbers. To take advantage of these services, please visit CONTACTS & INFORMATION. For more information, call (855) 398-6442. In addition, customers are encouraged to monitor their credit and debit card accounts, and notify their bank if they notice any suspicious activity. Additional recommendations for protecting your information can be found at RECOMMENDATIONS.

Due to ongoing forensics and law enforcement investigations, we are limited in the amount of information we can provide at this time. However, Jimmy John’s will continue to post relevant consumer updates on the Company’s website, located at https://www.jimmyjohns.com/.

Correction. They're like Subway. But with better bread and tons of meat on the sandwiches.

Subways sandwiches are so stingy with the meat that it's shocking they're so popular.

And JJ's Giant Dill Pickles are goddamn amazing. Mmm.... Jimmy Johns.

I need to order me a Gargantuan from them again sometime. Nummy Nummy.
