Believe it or not, ive only seen the first one years ago, i remember it being good. I wanna buy it and watch it on blu ray, but if i like it, i'm gonna want them all. Even if the other 2 arent as good, im like OCD with having all the movies in the series.

wasn't there actually a 4th direct to video one also based on the Tv series? Or was there just an xbox game and they tried to pass that off as a "sequel" like they tried with Ghostbusters?

The first one is a fantastic Paul Verhoeven movie. The second is fun to watch. I own the third as well (the neat DVD collection), but haven't ever watched it. I've never heard anyone say a good thing about it....

Verhoeven is one of my favorite directors, but unfortunately they try way too often to come up with sequels to his movies that just don't do the originals justice (e.g. Robocop, Starship Troopers, Basic Instinct and Hollow Man).

Yeah, Darren Aronofsky is directing, but considering MGM is pretty much dead now, I doubt the remake is still happening and I doubt we'll see Robocop 2 and Robocop 3 getting released anytime soon.

'The Prime Directives' I have the four disc UK set. I havn't watched it myself, but my dad has seen them and he thought they were 'ok'.

I can't believe some people actually acknowledge the existence of anything beyond Robocop 2.

I'm not a huge fan of the 2nd one but it's a damn sight better than anything bearing the Robocop name that has been made since.

I've got the US release of Prime Directives and it is pretty good. The actor playing Robo/Murphy is more like Weller than the guy who played him in RC3.

But on a side note the other RoboCop series is coming to DVD via Canada's Alliance studio.

has anyone seen the third one lately? I thought it was supposed to be an action flick...didn't know it was actually spoofing the Robocop character. Hilarious movie.
