Finally going to get another PS3

Leaning towards the $270 500 GB Last of Us Bundle but I do want an Azurite Blue console. Any idea where I can find the blue one for a decent price and then just add a SATA drive?

Most of them are pretty high in price on Ebay, which makes me believe they've already stopped making them. If I were you, I'd definitely go with the one you're looking at, it's a better deal all around, bigger drive, TLoU, etc...

I just looked and Amazon has Azurite blue ps3s for sale. They are going for about 250-300 bucks or so.

You might be able to score an azurite blue ps3 later this year for cheap. Sony is supposed to be releasing a newer revision of the PS3 again this year (likely around E3). Last summer it was revealed they were shrinking the cell processors down to 22nm and the GPU is going down to 28nm. That would allow them to lower the price of the console by a lot and or in toss things like a larger hard drive. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony could get the costs low enough to sell these consoles at $99-150 bucks.

I just assumed you were going to get an additional PS3. Since you don't own one at all, get a super slim ASAP. Once you get it put a big 500GB-1TB HD in there and subscribe to PS Plus (tons of free games and discounts every month).

Worth it for The Last of Us if you have not played it.
Don't forget to get the vertical stand. I just added it to my SSlim.

465GB is plenty o space too IMO unless you have a truck load of games already.

I always see my local Frys advertise the blue PS3 between $200 - $250 (sorry if that doesn't help, since Frys is not a store that can be found everywhere)

Otherwise if you are not picky about the HDD capacity, I would thing the 320Gb Last of Us/Arkham Origins bundle @ $250 is a better deal. And I see people on SD post often that some people can still find them for $200, mostly at Kmart, but some say that they've seen it at their local Target, TRU, or Sears (YMMV)

If I had known about the LoU/AO bundle I would've gone with that. Got this today, will open it later after I do some schoolwork. The games I have for it so far are FF X HD and Last of Us, do intend to get Injustice and a Batman game for it as well, not sure what else. Would like to take advantage of this Target sale this week, of course.

I said this earlier and I'll say it again. Playstation Plus. You might have a free month of it on some card inside the box.

Got it set up(more or less), nice to finally have one device again for streaming, gaming and movies. Off to bed now though, really using it will have to wait for tomorrow.

Neweggs ebay account is currently selling a year subscription for $39.99. Since you want a Batman game, Arkham City is one of the newly free games since last week! Just a heads up.

I owned a PS3 two or three years before I ever got ps plus. Once I actually got it I realized how much of a HUGE mistake it was to not have had it all along. I'd have at least a hundred free games by now.
