That's a long release date for a movie coming out in November. I would have thought it might come out on blu-ray in the middle of March or early April at the latest.

I remember when it took 3 years for a movie to be released on home video, on VHS, after the theatrical release date. So for only a 6 month wait for Blu-ray, it doesn't seem that bad.

For now, the theatrical version is available to stream on Netflix. So at least that's a little better than DVD. |

It's just perfect as it is in its theatrical cut. The extended footage is fun to check out, but they need to give people a choice to go back to the theatrical version once they've already seen and maybe disliked the extended. I dislike it.

I find that the extended cut actually gives TOO MUCH detail about several key gags from the film. It's almost as if the extended cut is like the studio trying to explain the jokes to make people laugh after people already understood and laughed at them. It takes ALL of the wind out of the comedy sails... so to speak.

Worth remembering that despite the logo being on the poster, Warner passed on making the sequel and Universal is the actual studio behind it. It's fair (and hopefully enough) to say that regardless of it being another studio, to miss the opportunity to do a new Blu-ray is just leaving money on the table, but Warner has less of a financial interest in remastering the TC than they would if they'd actually produced the sequel themselves.

What does that have to do with anything??? Are you insinuating that I'm just some stupid teen with low mentality that gets easily taken by corny humor?? Suit yourself. You don't have to see it....
