Image Burn setting in, please help - Blu-ray Forum

Is there a way to stop getting Image Burn?
It is just starting to show on my TV.
It is a
Vizio E421VA
I use it only with HDMI cables connected to my Laptop and my Sony Player. I'm noticing the Burn in is mimicking my Laptop when I watch a movie

Sounds like maybe the laptop is just transferring its image to your tv. What happens when you watch regular tv? Probably just buy a decent blu Ray player.

I've got a Sony BDV-E3100 surround sound system.
My tv is about 5 years old.

My understanding is by the time you see image retention on an lcd and it remains for a few weeks then you will likely have burn in. Meaning it isn't going away.
