4 Player PS3 games - Blu-ray Forum

Please list any current or upcoming games that you guys know to be 4 player. I don't mean 4 player as in Resistance where it could be 2-40 players in an online match. I mean 4 people sitting in my house using 4 controllers. Please specify if the game is 4 player offline or if 4 people using the same PS3 can join an online match. It can be a downloadable game or an actual PS3 release. I am trying to figure out which ones are like that.

I will start with the only two I know of:
1) Calling All Cars - Downloadable - 4 player offline
2) Virtua Tennis 3 - 4 player offline

Tiger Woods PGA Tour '08.

Golf games are outstanding for four players, that is one of the reasons I originally got hooked on them back in the Intellivision days.

COD4 is 4 player offline. I'm not sure if it can do 4 player on the same PS3 when it's online or not....

7? how is this possible? There are only 4 lights on the side of the controller:

It double ups on the lights so 5 would be the 1 and 4 light turned on..

Go into a game..hold the PS button for a second..then select controller settings..7 slots

..only some games support it..sports games are ideal of course...PLAYBEYOND...

Update:you can test it yourself by changing the controller settings to 5,6 or 7 and watch the lights come on..

Yes, it can support up to 7. If you have the BD remote, it is always set to 7 when it is on. So it doesn't get in the way of games. It ill look like the 4+1, 4+2, and 4+3 lights on.
Also fl0w is now a 4 player game.

Rock Band! Well...it's only 3 player until they get the GH3 controller to work or they release the guitar separately (probably in February).

But it's awesome even with just the 3...can't wait to do 4.

I was wondering about that actually...I've known forever that it supports up to 7 (weird number to support...) but I didn't know how the lights would work.

Some good random information found, this is why I like forums.

Fun fact... the PS3 supports up to 7 players, while the XBOX 360 only supports up to 4.
Yet another thing the PS3 can do that the 360 never will be able to.

みんなの GOLF 5 aka Hot Shots Golf 5 supports 4 players offline. I'm not too sure for online since I don't play online with it. Also, you can do 4 player matches with Skate. I'm sure all the sports games support at least 4 players offline.

You can play 4 players offline in Resistance.
