Default Orca: Killer Whale

Have this on it's way to me, released by Resen so I believe it will be on a BD-R. Why/how are Amazon.es selling these if they are widely known to be bootleg discs?

Why are you buying them if you think they are bootlegs? You are just supporting them.

I didn't know it was a Resen release till it had shipped, it was listed under a different studio when I ordered.

I knew about Body Double and Death Rides A Horse being BD-R's.

It's probably a copy of the Japanese disc.

It's much cheaper than importing the Japanese version and it will be identical as is the case with the other titles I mentioned, just on a BD-R.

Not officially licensed though from Studio Canal, wonder if they even know about it, Hmmm!

BODY DOUBLE (while most likely being a 1:1 rip of the Twilight Time video) is a pressed blu-ray. There is one more Resen does that is pressed, but the others? Most definitely BD-Rs, as you can see they are purple on the bottom and you can clearly see where the data was burned onto the disc.

I purchased quite a few Resen discs to do tests on my various blu-ray players to see which ones would play them and which ones wouldn't. I will update in the next few days.

Regardless, E20.37 is WAY too much, especially if this is a pressed rip of the Japanese blu-ray.

Arrived today, it is a BD-R but got to say it's nicely produced with a decent menu and even has multiple audio and subtitle options which I believe the Japanese didn't have. Already watched it and it played through fine.

No getting away from it being an unofficial release though, feels like it should of been bought from a car boot instead of through Amazon.

So just to doubly confirm, it is purple on the bottom?

Yeah, purple underside and you can actually see where the data has been burned on the disc.
