Swedish Prog metallers Opeth are releasing their new album on August 25th. This will be the first time they've gone Blu, as there are a few of their previous albums remixed as 5.1 but only on DVD-A. As usual Steven Wilson is responsible for the mix, and having just heard the album, I can only imagine how great this is going to sound. The music itself is a real evolution from the last album -tighter, more focused. In case you haven't heard them, or any of Pale Communion, here's the opening track:
