It seemed like a pretty good movie when I first watched it, not sure how well it holds up today.

I missed the chance to buy it on DVD when it was released in my country in the early 2000s. It's been OOP for well over 15 years now. I hope a Blu-ray comes along someday.

Here in the US Avalon is available in HD to rent or buy through iTunes

This film's absence from the HD market is puzzling. It would seem to be an ideal Criterion pick.
