Hey there Blu-ray community. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
I have been a frequent reader of the forums here the past few years but rarely ever post. Recently I saw the movie The Grand Seduction and loved it. I did not really know what to expect from it, but picked it up because a friend mentioned it when I told him I was a fan of Taylor Kitsch. It was such a pleasure to transition from the typical action / horror / gross comedy movies that I watched to this type of film. The thing that attracted me to it was the beautiful cinematography and backdrop of New Foundland and the subtle but powerful performances. I recently saw About Time too and the backdrop of Cornwall, England was beautiful. The last example is the Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The scenery and variety of landscapes really made that movie for me. I would love for some recommendations of movies that are similar to the three I mentioned. There are those movies that sticks to you somehow, and it's hard to explain and the Grand Seduction really did that to me. Can't stop thinking about how much I enjoyed it. People have mentioned The Grand Budapest Hotel, will probably check that out next. Thanks for reading and any input is greatly appreciated! |
