Apparently Lionsgate are releasing this in October. It was shot in 3d and they are going to show it flat ! A.K.A the Bombing

Hope this gets a 3d release somewhere

Air Strike. Lion's Gate stinks for 3D in the US, with the exception of Wild Life 3D in theaters for one week in the US (Robinson Crusoe by NWave), which I saw in theaters. But yeah, hopefully someone will get a blu ray 3D in the world if they're only releasing Air Strike in 2D.

A movie shot in 3D and released in 2D only. It's like 1950's all over again!

Yeah, they are horrible, and it's a film from China shot with 3D cameras.

Even Dragon Blade never got a 3D theatrical release here in the U.S. either, only a 2D theatrical release here in the U.S. and it was also released in the U.S. and the U.K. with 24 minutes removed and ran for a total runtime of 1 hour and 43 minutes, thankfully it got a blu ray 3d release in Hong Kong and in it's original runtime of 2 hours and 7 minutes.

Dragon Blade was also distributed in the U.S. by Liongate as well.

Looking at Yesasia listing, it seems that the movie is in Mandarin with English sub-titles. Can you confirm that ? The wife and I can't stand sub-titles.

Not all of Dragon Blade is spoken in Mandarin, there's a bit of English dialogue spoken as well, Dragon Blade is also a 3D conversion, however i think this release is out of print.

The movie has a surprisingly amount of English in it. So it will be a mixture.

I have that release already.

Back on topic, it really stinks for this movie not getting a 3D theatrical release here.

I won't support a 2D only release of a Chinese film that was shot natively in 3D with 3D cameras.

Actually, all screenings, 2D and 3D, have apparently been cancelled. Supposedly, it relates to Fan Bingbing, who is in the film, avoiding her tax bill. That has to be the oddest reason to cancel screenings but that's what happens when the government has a lot of power over art.

Interesting thing is no 3D was mentioned even in mainland China posters and trailers, so it's likely they dropped 3D in post production (since director had to paid by himself to finish the post production). Anyway, now the film won't release in mainland China, even the 3D version do exist, probably no audience can see it.

It's gone straight to DVD in the UK, no chance of a 3D Blu-ray.

I saw it in a charity shop yesterday for £2.95.

With the exception of his "Die Hard" movies and his "Expendables" cameos (for which Stallone reportedly will no longer use him due to work-ethic issues) you could say "The Bombing" would be a prophetic -- if not "D'Oh!" -- title for a Bruce Willis movie.

This movie is bad. The blame does not fall entirely on Willis (he's a supporting character, there aren't really any main characters). He's better in this than some of his other low budget stuff. But it's just bad in general.

Totally agree. Could not even make it through the whole movie before turning it off.

It wasn't dubbed (at least not into English if it was) on digital, so it probably won't be on disc. They were obviously speaking some Eastern Asian language.

Unfortunately the Blu-ray is dubbed in English, even when Chinese are speaking among themselves.
