I've never seen a release by this company before, so can't speak to their reputation. Most of these early Jia Zhangke films were filmed digitally, and will always bear the artifacts of that original format, putting a hard ceiling on picture quality. I believe DVDBeaver has it on the schedule for review, might want to wait to see their evaluation.

None-the-less, afaik this is the first blu-ray release of one the most significant Chinese films of the last 30 years, which is nice for preservation purposes.
