Good for those that want to upgrade their US or UK BD set. I just bought my US set last year, so i won't buy it again.

Will the picture quality be the same as the Mill Creek box?

According to the Plaion-Live Stream: It will be the 4K-Masters the Mill Creek-Set used but with better encoding presumably.

Two things bother me:

1)the Mill Creek set has all the feature-length episodes presented as double episodes so instead here they will be really uncut like in the Fabulous Films set? But then the masters cannot be the same, can they?

2)watching the trailer kinda of worried me because it felt like some old masters but surely I'm wrong (on their site it's not written 1080p unlike for example with the MacGyver set).

So when the set is released, I think these two things should be clarified.
However it's great that finally the crossover episodes are included in one set and there are various extras (some of which maybe never released anywhere?) including the booklet (and English subtitles I guess?). It will be interesting to know if the episodes will be presented in the aired order or in the production order (but until now I've never found a production order of the episodes anywhere).

This will probably have much higher video bit rate, compared to the US version.

Nice! And this probably has English subtitles like Miami Vice and MacGyver sets?

Most likely although not a guarantee given how coy Plaion are about those things.

I wonder if I'm the only person who wishes there were English subtitles on the new interview with the German voice of Magnum. It would be cool to watch.

Even the Mill Creek release has English subtitles, so I would hope Plaion could do the same.

As I wrote before, many pluses but some uncertainties that make me wait (also because I managed to get the Mill Creek set at a very good price) until someone picks it up and hopefully shares his/her thoughts about this set.

Mill Creek has really bad compression going on.
Its a shame they butchered the newly 4K Masters like that.

As with Miami Vice im sure the Plaion Set will be above and beyond in comparison with S*it Creek...eh...Mill Creek

Partly due to the price of the set, I'm going to pass on Plaion's release. Getting Turbine's Blu-ray boxset of the original Knight Rider series was one of those 'once in a blue moon' purchases (can't get more than one physical media release of many television series).

When people get their copies of Plaion's release, if screencaptures of the Simon & Simon and Murder, She Wrote crossover episodes could be posted, that would be appreciated. Someone else would be able to confirm this, but was the Murder, She Wrote crossover episode "Magnum on Ice" in standard definition in Fabulous Films' UK Blu-ray release (it was included as an extra/bonus feature)? Especially interested in seeing how the Simon & Simon crossover episode "Emeralds Are Not a Girl's Best Friend" will look in Plaion's boxset.

Now, if a Simon & Simon Blu-ray boxset was announced at a later time, I'd be interested in that (if HD masters exist).

I don't have the Fabulous Films set but according to some information on the net 'Magnum on Ice' is in SD, one of the strange things of magnum episodes is that in the British set there are various episodes without the teaser, at least in the Mill Creek set only four-five episodes more or less have no teaser, hoping the German set will include all the teasers.

Have you asked in the Germany sub-forum thread for Turbine's Blu-ray boxset of Knight Rider? Sorry I can't be of much help.

Having got their Miami Vice set for Christmas and seeing how much of an improvement it is on the UK and US Blu-rays this is very interesting. If only there was a chance of a Blu-ray release of The Equalizer though. I would love to see that series given a HD remaster.

I remember contacting Fabulous Films UK last year about a Blu-ray release of the original Equalizer TV series and received a very short reply (no plans for a Blu-ray release), compared to around the time they released the last three seasons (and a re-release of the first season) on DVD when the person in charge of answering questions from customers was very helpful (ie. more detailed responses).

I'd be interested in a Blu-ray release if the original music was intact (like it apparently is on the UK DVD releases).
