Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen)

Kadokawa will begin releasing the NBC series Hannibal (2013), starring Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy, on Blu-ray in Japan on November 7th, 2014.

No word yet on extras, and I'm sure we won't know if these are the "Producer's cut" episodes until the release is in hand and compared. However, the release will have three volumes in amaray cases in a slipbox:

You know, for now, I think I might buy this.

It will have six discs for the 13 episodes, so unless they are featureless BD-25s, I think compression will be optimal here, even with the Japanese dub (not to say that, say, the UK release is anything but stellar). Plus, I want to see the extras, and Mikkelsen's Lecter in Japanese. And I just like spending money on Japanese releases.

EDIT: Kadokawa's site for the series is here, including a "DVD" tab with specs. No info yet as to BD-25 or BD-50, but Kinokuniya is showing a mix of BD-50 and BD-25, so it looks like the first disc, with three episodes, could be BD-50, while the rest (at least Discs 2-4) are possibly BD-25.

Sorry for necro-bump...

I ordered the complete series version from ebay and didn't even give it a thought that the episodes might not be the uncut versions. Anybody know? It hasn't shipped yet but I'm curious.
