An issue with the Blu-ray.com database in regards to the Persecuted Blu-ray versions

On October 14th 2014 the movie Persecuted was released on the Blu-ray format in two different packaging styles. Amazon, Best Buy, DVD Empire, and other secular retailers are carrying the single disc Blu-ray version of Persecuted with a UPC code of 687797158062 .

Exclusive to Christian retail stores and Christian Internet stores like Christianbook.com is the 2 disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack of the movie Persecuted which contains a UPC code of 687797158048.

The Blu-ray.com database issue

1. This listing in the Blu-ray.com database is for the single disc Persecuted movie on Blu-ray, and it is correct. It contains the correct UPC code 687797158062 and it is linked to a Best Buy website with the correct single disc version of the movie.https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Persecuted-Blu-ray/117133/



2. (The problem is this) The Blu-ray.com database for the 2 disc combo pack version of Persecuted on Blu-ray should have the UPC code of 687797158048, however instead it has the wrong UPC code listed. On top of that issue it is linked to the Amazon website which only offers the single disc version of the movie. This should be corrected since when one reads the professional review from Martin Liebman he mentions that the studio placed the bonus features only on the DVD version of the movie(except for the previews). Therefore, people that read the review for the Persecuted Blu-ray/DVD combo pack might click on the Amazon link and by mistake purchase the wrong version of the movie that only contains the Blu-ray version. Several times over the years, I have volunteered my time and made improvements to the database. Sometimes complicated issues like this are rejected when one tries to make changes.

I would rather send my comments I made as a private message if I had the proper contact information. In the past, I have sent private message with mixed results.

Since this area of the forum has several people posting duplicate entry issues and other issues, I decided this would be the best way to approach this database issue.

The UPC change for the 2-disc was approved tonight. I didn't get a message but it looks like the Amazon sku change was denied so that still needs to be switched. I submitted the change again with what I hope is a clearer comment.

Edited to add: That was approved quickly and it looks like everything is now correct.
