I was a bit worried this wouldn't happen when there were reports a while back of a DVD release coming and no Blu.

It turned out to be a phantom release though, so now we're getting the real thing, presumably right before season 6.

Bit of a downer ending but a good season overall. Wonder where they'll go from here.

Great price, though I'm inclined to just wait for a full series set that I hope HBO releases once the show is over, just like I'm waiting for Game of Thrones. Their sets for Boardwalk Empire, The Wire, The Sopranos, etc. are all so dang nice.

The blu-ray won't be available in Europe. Does the US one is region free?

So, I bought it anyway because I read on eBay that it was region free and it actually is! At least, it's working in region B.

Thanks to robenn's tip-off, I went ahead and bought the US releases of S5 and S6 from eBay (since there hasn't been any Region B release of either), and I'm pleased to report they both seem to be working fine in Region B, so far!
