Just wanted to let everyone know here in Maryland/ dc area one of our best redskins(nfl players) was shot today trying to defend his family in an attempted robbery, anyway the espn’s, Comcast’s don’t really show what a great man he was... I got to spend about an hour with him and during that time talking about football family and just random stuff a reporter came up and instead of saying by to me he said to the reporter “I’m talking to a fan" ... these TV shows, portray him as some kind of arrogant hitting machine and nothing more... hope everyone can pray for him thanks

I hate to see these young guys in the prime of their careers have life cut short by some mindless act. And he did always seem like a good guy ever since I saw him waiting at his home for his name to be called at the draft sitting next to his momma.

it is truly unfortuanate this happened. things looked encouraging yesterday when he squeezed the nurses hand. this is truly a sad occurence.

This came as such a shock when I heard it at first. It is a shame such a talent had to die at such a young age.

first, i'd be considered the youth of today. if i'm lost, i'd hate to see where most of the world is. second, this is totally ignorant. so what if he was a thug at one point or another. that doesn't make his loss any less real. he had a young son who now does not have a father. yes, he had a run in with the law at one point but that doesn't make him any less of a person. in fact, maybe it makes him more of one for realizing mistakes and having reformed his life. afaik, his last run in with the law occurred in 2004 but wasn't resolved till '05. for this "thug" that is a mighty long time without a problem.

keep these thoughts about the deceased to yourself because there truly are people that care.
