Lost Heaven, IL:

Its coming on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Great news. I didn't expect them to make a full remake. More screenshots are on the site.

Nice! I remember this being one of the better GTA knockoffs from the PS2 era. Screenshots look great.

I hope Mafia 2 and 3 will be sold seperately and in physical form. I'd hate to have to buy M3 again. Really forced myself to get through that one and then sold it. The M2 remaster is something I'm very much looking forward to and the same goes for the M1 remake. The screenshots look sweet!

Why is Mafia 3 part of a "Remaster Trilogy" when it just came out this gen? Maybe they should just patch it first for existing owners.

Mafia 3 is just a definitive version so it will just be the latest updated version with DLC included and not an upgraded version in any way I'm sure.

Well, if that's the case it could make more sense. "Mafia Trilogy: Definitive Editions" or something similar i guess.

The official teaser just calls it the Mafia Trilogy with no remaster or definitive branding which makes the most sense when from what I gather all three games are a different type of re-release. Mafia is a remake, Mafia 2 is a remaster (Likely just the PC version and a higher resolution compared to the old console versions) and Mafia 3 is just a re-packaged bundle I think. We'll know more on the 19th when this was supposed to be announced before Microsoft leaked it.

I think i picked up Mafia 2 or something similar on PS3 when it was on PS+ but never did play it, so this is something i'm looking forwards to a little more BUT my biggest caveat for this series was the rubbish mechanics the devs had on Mafia 3 and they're the same devs handling the Mafia remake/remaster as i believe they're updating everything of the original rather than making any real changes to the story etc.

The controls for Mafia 3 though were poor compared to say something like GTA V so if i could have had anything fixed, it would have been that right from #1 to #3.

Mafia 2 I bought for the PS3 when it was 19.99 on sale long after its initial release, and it quickly became a top PS3 game for me, despite the weak resolution and graphical missing effects, like no grass sprouting from the green ground as with the 360 version. Really fun game though along with the missions. LA Noire on PS3 on the other hand, looked almost like a PS4 game in terms of resolution compared to the poor resolution of Mafia 2 on PS3.

Mafia 3's water effects and reflections were awful for the most part, but I liked the style of the graphics otherwise, and the game reminds me a lot of the Driver series with the vehicle controls. Fun game IMO.

Mafia 1, I never actually played yet, so this is a welcome remake! The graphics look impressive. Would be welcome on PS5 though.

When does it release? August 28, 2020. That's practically September 2020. With November only being 2 months later for PS5 hopefully.

Mafia II remaster looks a bit better than the original. It looks like they updated the lighting. Trailer has leaked early:

It says Available now. More info was supposed to be released next Tuesday but it got leaked. That might be the release day.

Mafia 3 was kinda a mess.

I didn’t get around to the first few games. Maybe played the second one for a few minutes on Xbox 360.

Those screen shots above look sick. Will keep both of these on my radar.

So Mafia II will be released May 19. I read that yesterday but thought it’s a mistake, I guess the ‘release trailer’ confirms that, though

Mafia II just didn't look that great tbh. Especially when you see this Mafia remake. They should have probably paid a bit more attention to remastering it than they appear to because that honestly looked like somebody has taken a PS3 trailer and renamed it as a "leak" or something.

Mafia 2 trophy list is out. Still wonder if it will be standalone or if you have to buy the whole trilogy and get access to 2 & 3 right away with the original remake downloadable later.
