Japan 009 RE : CYBORG Deluxe Edition 3D + 2D Blu Ray

I got my copy in middle July. This is one of the 36 bit MGVC Blu Ray (only released in Japan).

Really nice pictures, thanks mate. Did you enjoy the film?

I'm pretty sure we are getting something nice for the UK edition in January.

I've seen this set in person and I really really want it because it's so nice. However, I've seen the movie and really didn't like it at all. It honestly makes zero sense, and you never see the whole 009 team act as a team.

You said the 2D disc as English subs, what about the 3D one?

There is NO subtitle in the 3D and bonus BD.

There is a 3D UK Version available. Any thoughts on that one? Is the Image Quality the same as the Japanese Disc? Is it Region locked?

Anyone have the Aussie disc? The center channel I think is coming right front

Spectacular 3D.

FYI:

So the track order was LRC and you can see the right track is the center channel.

I just flipped them over in a flac. Just irritating.

The 3D was just pretty awesome though. I think I liked it more than Solid State Society, 3D wise.

I have the UK version, it is locked to region B. I cannot compare to the Japanese release as I do not have it, but the image quality is certainly good in 3D. In terms of audio, both the English and Japanese 5.1 tracks sounded fine to my ears and have correct channel order:

I agree, the 3D experience is fantastic and IMO far better than Solid State Society. I'm very glad I purchased a copy. It has consistent depth throughout and there were some impressive moments!

Thanks for this, actually. So the UK version is fine, just the Aussie one that is broken.

Sigh.

If anyone owns the Japanese Blu-ray 3D version of 009 Re:Cyborg, I'd love to know if any of the commercials and promotional videos included as extras on the Blu-ray 3D disc are also in stereoscopic 3D. From what I've read, at least the second Pepsi Nex ad played in 3D in Japanese theaters before the Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace 3D re-release. These are offered in 2D on the bonus DVD in the UK set.
