General Question - Blu-ray Forum

Hey All, Quick question and just want everyone's take on this. Movies can be $$$, do any of you take breaks in buying them for months at a time? I was curious... Im thinking of not buying any till February.

If money is super tight, then yeah.
I don't buy many movies at one time nor do I try to buy at full price, so that helps. I do a lot of trading in DVDs.

In short, I would. It's just a hobby and it doesn't take precendence over things like bills or food. I think the longest break I took was a month and a half.

I find that I buy less between January and March as there are not that many promos or I just have most of what I want.

I find lately that I have mainly exhausted back catalogue titles and now have to wait for blu ray releases of some titles still, I own them on DVD so no rush. Criterion titles I buy at sales four times a year. New releases I generally buy first day, what I want and have researched. That being said there is a slump of releases February and March sometimes in August also but there is usually a criterion sale at Amazon.

No, if a movie comes out I want, I'll just buy it. Now when movies come out close to BF I will wait until BF to see if I can get a good deal.

So I may not buy any movies from like Sept-November but that also depends on what comes out those months.
