Black Eagle - Uncut Blu-ray

Breaking News, Attention all German-speaking Jean-Claude Van Damme fans out there.

In collaboration with Oliver Krekel (DigiDreams studios) are coming to come Blu-ray and DVD releases of "Cyborg" aka "SLINGER", "BLACK EAGLE", "LEON" and "THE QUEST"

Region Free?

Just got my Black Eagle today. It is region free. Playing right now in my region A PS3. Also, and I didn't realize because most German blurays tout "uncut" even though they are just US versions. This has an extended 104 min "Directors cut" plus the original 93 min "International" version. Image is alot better than I thought it would be.

Sounds great, my hopes for Lionhart's PQ went up now

I've got a regionfree player, so fortunately it doesn't affect my purchase, but luckily lots of fans can now enjoy these classics!

This is not surprising. Oliver Krekel (DigiDreams studios) = A disaster! Just look at the Leviathan blu-ray.

Watched it on Friday and there is indeed no detail whatsoever. A wasted opportunity as this looked to be a decent quality master.

Yeah Leviathan was horrible. Don't have any hopes for the rest of the lineup now

There are HD masters available for Quest and Cyborg, so I'm only afraid for my favorite, Lionheart.

I'm afraid for Lionheart and Double Dragon. Seems to be upscales everything Mr.Krekel releases.
