I'm not seeing this on their page for some reason (it shows up if I do a search for the title). Anyone get shipping notices or any news, like a delay? It's still listed as pre-order with Jan 25 street date.

Statement from the label spokesman on movieside.de:

Unfortunately the release had to be postponed to February.
There were some video/audio issues that had to be fixed.
The discs are being checked at the moment.
As soon as the discs are sent to the pressing plant we'll announce the new release date for February.

Any thoughts on the films transfer vs the Redemption?

I own the other Jean Rollin German mediabooks and did own some of the US blu-rays but have found the transfers to be a bit different but both releases having pros and cons. I think the German discs give fhe film lower bit rates / disc space in comparison to the US and sometimes felt the US to have more detail.

My computer's blu-ray drive isn't working so I can't do screenshots, but from the quick A/B comparison I did, I prefer the Wicked Vision blu. I felt it had a nicer grain texture and they seem to have done a bit more restoration than Redemption did for the Kino disc as well. For example, near the beginning when the camera pans up on the two women drinking blood in the abattoir, the Kino disc has a lot of white marks that pop around the screen, and there was much less of that on the WV disc. The quick bit-rate check I did (just on the opening) showed them having pretty similar bit rates. Also the new scan WV did was 2k, I think the scan on the Kino disc was 1080.

And much like the other WV discs, there are more special features than the Kino discs. This has the same 2 deleted sex scenes and the Eurotika doc that Kino's Fascination disc had, but it also had a short intro from Jean Rollin, an even shorter intro from Brigitte (not really even worth mentioning), an 8-9 minute documentary of the film with Brigitte and Natalie Perrey, a 20 minute interview with Philippe D'Aram about the music from the film and a gallery of promotional material. And of course the packaging is amazing.
